What a great way to learn about TDD and Pair Programming!
Thank you Dan Prager for the opportunity to be a fly on the wall in one of your cool workshops. It was great to meet your colleagues Eden Vicary, Paul Smith and Matt McKenzie from Everest Engineering. As a complete novice, I got to do more than just observe. In the spirit of “Learning by Doing” thank you Eden for helping me appreciate the benefits of TDD and pair programming. It was great to meet developers from different industries and see them learning through collaboration face to face. I’d love to see K to 12 students and University Students participate in a workshop like this. Please reach out if you think you could help me realize this dream. I’m convinced if we build it, they will come!
Those connected to our community know, we’ve run similar workshops out of BOSCH’s Head office that provide students with opportunities to engage in Engineering that aligns more with Electrical and Mechanical engineering disciplines. (Robotics) I’d love to see Real Time Learning extend opportunities that align with software engineering like what I experienced in Thursday’s workshop. I say love to – We have pilot program running out Boneo Primary School with , STEM Wizard, Kieran Nolan keen to scale a model we’re calling the Cyber Academy! Please reach out if this sounds like something you might be interested in. Remember it takes a village to raise a child! You can make contact through the Real Time Learning website to register your interest. Love to hear from you.
To Dan and your team, thank you for providing me with a fresh dose of inspiration!
