Loved bumping into Toby Walsh, the author of “Faking It” who appeared on the Q&A panel Monday night. There was much discussion on the future of Science and Technology.

I encourage you to read Toby Walsh’s take on “AI”. He provides a very considered response to how we might lean into AI. Can AI be creative? What is fake and what is real? A great read.

This was my first time in the live audience. Great to be there with my brother Tom Kerr and was a nice surprise bumping in to Sid Verma from BrainSTEM. Thank you for the front row seats Sid!

It was a refreshing and respectful debate. A huge thank you to PK and the ABC for hosting this important hot debated topic.

Toby has said in his book, “You suspect it’s won’t be robots putting humans out of work, but humans who use AI taking over the jobs of humans who don’t” As an educator do you share my concern that schools who do not lean into AI and or ban AI are potentially putting students at risk of being unprepared for a world rapidly embracing AI. If so what guard rails can be implemented that make room for schools to lean into learning that partners with AI? Love to hear peoples’ thoughts on this?
