We are delighted with the progress being made in the RTL STEM Workshops hosted at BOSCH.

To kick off our workshop, Tom, a BOSCH engineer shared with our team, the racing car he is building at home. This is an open source project that has been posted in Sweden. It was great to see the types of projects engineers choose to work on in their own time. We are very keen to see links and explore this project ourselves as a team.

Then Sanjay (in Year 7) shared with the team an app he has built that helps those with allergies. His android app scans a bar code and then alerts the user to known allergies. Sanjay has predominantly self-taught himself how to build this app. Sanjay has said he will share some links to helpful websites for other students in the team.
Then our Team were given opportunity to work at their own pace. With the luxury of having an abundance of undergraduates we were able to have a great deal of one to one learning.
Tonight we also had Rod and Brendan from Appearition. They will be gifting our students with access to their augmented reality platform that will allow students to create their own content. Hopefully we can have students develop content in our final session next week. In a recent post you will see Sam. Audrey and Rosemary participated in a workshop at Appearition in Queen St. We expect our student leaders will lead this session.
We are confident that all students will complete their build for their mechanical arm next week. This will be the final workshop in this series before we break for Christmas and the New Year.
