Augmented Reality in the morning in the CBD many thanks to Appearition! Exploring Ag Tech at Cornish College! Robotics in the evening at Forest Hill College. What a day!
Jonathan from Forest Hill College, Charlotte from Elisabeth Murdoch College and Jemma and Thomas from Cornish College were offered an opportunity to create Augmented Reality Content under the guidance of developers at Appearition HQ in the city today.
We can’t wait to see the applications the students will no doubt create. Thank you to Brendan, Rod and the team at Appearition for taking the time out of their busy schedules to work with our RTL students.
Then it was back to Cornish College to explore the Ag Tech possibilities. Luke having arrived early found himself being invited to feed the newly arrived lambs! What fun Thanks Elisabeth! Then Nicola and Peter at Cornish College were joined by Bernd Meyer from Monash and Luke to take in a tour of the farm. It really is exciting to see the appetite both staff and students at Cornish College have for employing Ag Tech at the College.
Then all 4 students from this morning joined us at Forest Hill College with 4 other students to complete builds on the robots we’ve been building at Bosch. In the background, we had no less than 6 undergraduate engineers that includes new recruits Thomas and Marco, interns at Bosch help solder shields and teach our student leaders to do the same.
Below you will see Lenny and Jonathan learning to solder!
It really is amazing and humbling to see the willingness of all the volunteers to provide students at this age with such an amazing experience!
Look at the delight on these students, proudly presenting the arm they’ve built themselves. In the final workshop they will take this home!
A very satisfying day!
