Year 5 and 6 Girls from Boneo PS and Benton Junior College get a taste for Motorsport thanks to Motorsport Australia’s Girls on Track program

A huge thank you to Priyanka Chadha and her team at Motorsport Australia for hosting such an inspiring day introducing girls to the world of Motorsport.

Go Karting, a STEM Workshop, Fitness Stations and a Media workshop – such a great day out!

Earlier this term some of the students at Bentons JC and Boneo PS also participated in a tour of the Monash Makerspace hosted by Monash Motorsport in partnership with Real Time Learning. So great for the students to see older role models working in and toward a career in Motorsport.

A huge thank you to the team at Monash Motorsport for also taking time out to share their passion for engineering through Motorsport.

We look forward to joining University Teams from around the country competing in SAE Formula later in the year at Winton. It will be great to have students participate in a VIP tour that SAE host.

In our opinion, these types of outreach activities go a long way to addressing underrepresentation of women in STEM and more specifically Motorsport.
