Great to be in Sydney for the 2nd IoTAA Impact Conference last week!
Internet of Things (IoT) makes way for many new exciting opportunities!
I particularly enjoyed participating in design thinking workshops that explore how we might transform the way we see Water, Agriculture and Health Care through the Internet of Things (IoT) lens.
So many “Wicked” Problems that align with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that we can address through IoT.
The best part of all is that such innovations require the input of a very diverse range of Stakeholders.
This is what Bill Ruh, Chief Digital Officer at Lendlease was referring to when he said,
“This innovation will not be driven by Silicon Valley but where the domain knowledge exists.”
The opportunities are only limited by our imagination!
The content covered demonstrates how data is now more valuable than oil!
It would seem we can learn a lot from the Netherlands when it comes to farming.
It would also seem we can also learn much from the Dutch in regard to waste and recycling!
Only 2% of waste going to Landfill! Compare that to Australia’s 40%!
A culture that embraces adoption of new technologies!
