Over 3 evening workshops this past week, 30 students from 17 schools, 2 BOSCH Interns, 7 undergraduates and 2 postgraduate engineers gathered to participate in STEM Workshops at BOSCH’s Head Office.

This has been a most rewarding week in the life of RTL. So much cause for celebration.
This week we hosted the last 2 Extension Workshops for 2018 that commenced at the beginning of the year. (16 in total) There are 9 students in each and all have built their own remote-control car. Here they are testing these at BOSCH before taking home their finished product.

It was awesome to have a past facilitator in Phi Nguyen return as VIP (Very Inspiring Person) to share his experiences of beginning work as an engineer.

On Wednesday at our Starter Workshops we heard from Nicole Brown, former Global CEO for Robogals and now an engineer at Calibre. She gave a very inspiring account of how she got into engineering. Nicole is part of the Queen’s Leaders Program and met with the Queen earlier this year at Buckingham Palace.

On that same morning, Akash Ramaswamy completed a series of workshops at Cornish College that have been running on Wednesday mornings for Term 4. We are only too happy to make recommendations to schools that wish to employ RTL Facilitators.
Also on this day Farshad and Emily, two of our facilitators are now working in a part time capacity on a Monash University pilot with Luke Kerr. Zac Sinclair in Yr 8 at Elisabeth Murdoch College from our Extension Workshops participated in this meeting.
It’s awesome that our facilitators are being afforded such great opportunities.
