Bosch invite RTL students to their inaugural IOTAA Networking event. RTL student, Charlotte from Elisabeth Murdoch College literally in the “front seat” of a car that will represent Bosch’s contribution to the Autonomous Car!
On Wednesday 27th June RTL’s 3rd STEM workshop series of 5 three hour workshops kicked off with a special treat. Students met with lead engineers at Bosch working on the Autonomous Car. RTL was honoured to run this final workshop in this series in parallel with the tour Bosch provided members of IOTAA with.
Students not only take home a robot they’ve built over 5 three hour sessions but also a certificate to celebrate their achievement.
We are most grateful to Bosch for their support of our RTL Model. John, an engineer was able to work with students who had posted a problem on “Trello”. Their 3D design had failed to print and John was able to explain why. John has made an enormous contribution to workshops over the past year.
We could not run these workshops without the generous contributions made by our Postgraduate and Undergraduate Engineers.
Raj, Marco and Thomas are all interns at Bosch. Raj has been with us from the very start of the workshops here at Bosch.
Robogals – Monash have been supporting workshops here at Bosch from the start. Emily, Vanessa and Timmy are volunteers that support both Robogals and RTL.
Phi, an Aerospace engineering graduate from RMIT and team member of VicHyper has also been supporting workshops at Bosch from the start.

Akash, an undergraduate engineer studying at Monash and Andrew a postgraduate engineer from Swinburne have recently joined our team of facilitators.
Our team has been very well supported by these amazing volunteers!
Here are the proud students representing the following schools this time around:
In no particular order, Cornish College, Glendal Primary School, Elisabeth Murdoch College, Forest Hill College, Frankston High School, Woodleigh School and Balcombe Grammar.
Our workshops typically are represented by students from all sectors – both Primary, Secondary, Government and Independent.
Here is what our students are making in workshops. The car is being made by students who are participating in our new extension workshops.
