Tonight’s RTL STEM Workshop at BOSCH included Design in Tinkercad, Coding in Arduino, Mechanical Assembly and Soldering!
Having multiple engineers and undergraduates makes for a great workflow!
First Phi, 4th year Aerospace engineer undergraduate led a really hands on session introducing student to Cad drawing in Tinkercad.
This was very well received and will enable students to come up with their own designs.
Then Raj, 3rd year Electrical engineer undergraduate taught students how to power up a servo using a breadboard and the Arduino. This demonstrates to students how code works on a micro controller.
Our Student Leaders were able to do more soldering in preparation for next session. They were able to put into practice what they learnt last night. Back to Back sessions – Well Done Sam and Rosemary!
Then students received their cordless screw driver and are now very close to completing the mechanical arm build. In fact Eli finished his already – Well Done Eli!
Great night and a huge thank you to the engineers from BOSCH and the undergraduate engineers.
